When I look back on my childhood, many memories are of navigating difficult and painful circumstances. Yet, amid my pain, I had a loving mother who provided unconditional love to me and my two brothers. However, at the age of 15, I had become suicidal. I no longer wanted to live in a world of pain that provided no hope of a better future. My mom desperate to help me, made me go to church to attend a youth group that she heard was excited about the Lord. Although I didn’t want to go, that night changed my life as I was introduced to Jesus and I gave my heart to Him.
Jesus immediately stepped into my brokenness and gave me a hope and a future and filled my heart with redeeming love. After graduating High School, I went to Christ for the Nations and received a degree in theology and music. Since that time, my heart has been to share the healing power that can only be found in Jesus. The calling on my life based on Isaiah 61:1 to preach good news unto the meek, to bind up the brokenhearted and to proclaim liberty to the captives was initially realized as my husband and I served two churches, and I later became a Registered Song Evangelist with the Church of the Nazarene and an Artist Affiliate with Compassion International. When that season in my life ended, I began seeking the Lord as to what He wanted me to do, and that it when the birth of our horse ministry Saints Under Saddle began.
In the past 20+ years, I have seen children restored, filled with hope, healed, and experiencing the love of God through our “horse saints” in Saints Under Saddle. I have found that God will use any willing vessel, even one with horsehair to fulfill His mission of reaching the lost. My heart is to see children restored, to see families restored and brought to the Lord and I believe that God has given me a unique ministry to fulfill His purpose in my life.
If you have a child or know of a child that would benefit from this ministry, I pray that you will not hesitate to reach out to me today.
2 Corinthians 1:3-4 “Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God.”
